Zoey thought she would never have to choose, but to save one husband, she will have to betray the other…
As Zoey Donovan-Quinn first sets foot in the faery homeland of her beloved Devinshea, life is perfect. Her enemy is defeated, her heart is full, and Neil and Sarah are at her side. Daniel and Dev are happy, so their visit to the sithein should be a pleasant honeymoon full of wonder and joy. Well, except for the part where Zoey needs to steal an ancient gem from the Queen of Faery in order to prevent Louis Marini from killing Daniel.
Reunited with her whole crew, stealing the magical artifact should be relatively easy, but unknown to Zoey, Dev, and Daniel, there are dark forces gathering against them. As her search for the Blood Stone gets underway, Zoey makes a startling discovery that will change her life, and Dev and Daniel’s forever.
When her new enemy finally strikes at Zoey from the shadows, her newfound happiness is shattered, and to avenge the horrific attack, Dev prepares his mother’s kingdom for war. Recovering from the attempt on her life, Zoey and Daniel desperately search for the stone and in the process unmask the real monster behind the assault.
Stopping the real threat, and saving Daniel, will force Zoey to choose sides in an epic war between the Seelie and Unseelie Fae, even if it means betraying Dev and his people.
A Thieves Novel by Lexi Blake

As usual, I'll let you read the author's synopsis, if you want to know what the book is about. At this point, you have read the first three books, and you're going to read this and the next one, no matter what my review says. So...it's good! It's so good! I really like how Zoey is completely open about wanting a two-man threesome, and I'm loving how Lexi Blake is slowly drawing Dan, the Texan, very heterosexual vampire, into loosening up and doing things he never thought he'd do.The plots are always well-done, and the writing is superb (except for that weird usage of the word 'nonplussed'). I believe that it's in this book, though, that even the other characters remark on Zoey's dumb choices and bad decisions, as in her saying she had a good reason, and the other character saying she always has a good reason, but it's still a dumb decision. She doesn't devolve to the TSTL level, but, if it weren't for the fact that she's been drinking Dan's blood, Zoey would be dead many times over. I will also say that I always liked the fact that Zoey was just a plain, old human in a supernatural world, but managed to hold her own, anyway. Finding out that Zoey isn't fully human was a little disappointing to me, but, at least, she didn't start shooting laser beams out of her eyes or something. I always think it's a mistake, when the author keeps giving the MC more and more 'powers' without making the MC work for them (I'm looking at you, Laurell K Hamilton!), and things just get to the point of ridiculousness. I'm happy to say that doesn't happen here, and Zoey's special DNA is more a handicap than a help to her.
I am again impressed by the secondary character development and particularly enjoyed Dev's twin brother, Declan (I'm pretty sure he was in book three, but, unfortunately, I can't remember for sure, since all five books are just one, long, awesome story in my head), even though he's a d**k. Maybe I like him, because he's just unapologetically the way he is. Maybe I like him, because I can't stop imagining a twin-two-man threesome, with Dev and Declan. RAAAWWRRRR! As with all Blake's characters, there's more to Declan than just being a d**k, though I completely understand why Zoey doesn't find him attractive...except for his long, luscious hair. Mmmm.
Why are you still reading this, instead of buying the book and reading about Declan's long, luscious hair yourself? Seriously. Stop reading the review and buy the book!

Steal the Sun Thieves Book 4 edition by Lexi Blake Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Very brief synopsis - The trio and their entourage have traveled to Faery, ostensibly because Dev has ascended and has the power to help save the realm. However, there are several agendas being pursued, and not only by our heroes. Danger is everywhere, and the three have to hold on to each other to survive.
What worked - Everything. Loved the advancement of the story, loved the direction it went, loved the detail and the expansion of the mythology. Loved how our intrepid heroes learn to work together and how dedicated they each are to the others. Daniel, Dev and Zoey are really coming together as a team. Even in the face of extreme tragedy, and when a disagreement cuts to the core, they find a way to work things through.
The emotions are guiding the story as much as the hormones, no more so than when Dev has to make a desperate choice. I didn't find one misstep, not one scene that didn't flow beautifully into the next.
We meet several new, important characters. I'm wondering if they have played out their importance or if we will get more stories in this world, with a different focal couple. I really, really hope so.
Bottom line - Steal the Sun is a triumph of storytelling magic. I am NOT an Urban Fantasy fan. I am, however, a huge Lexi Blake fan. I am so glad I took the plunge on this series. It is so freaking good. If you like erotica, with a great menage, if you like fantasy, if you like well written books, you will love this. Do yourself a favor, and start at the first book. You deserve it.
First let me confess, I was a fan of the that detective from St. Louis who had a vampire lover and werewolf lover she could never quite decide between--that is until the entire thing went so wildly off the rails no one could ever read it again.
So I was very delighted to find Lexi Blake and her Thieves books. Zoey wasn't pathologically afraid of sex or vampires so we were off to a good start, already. I really liked the first, second and third books. They were a fun romp for anyone that reads this genre. They weren't so dark and uptight I had to drink while I was reading them and the characters were all more or less likeable. They had flaws but they were reasonable flaws. There was no sensation the author was exorcizing her personal life in her writing. Just a good story.
Now we're onto book four and unfortunately, we're getting into Zoey-land, where everything in the world revolves around what Zoey wants, what Zoey thinks and what Zoey does. And Zoey does not (or hasn't yet) evolved or ironically given me any reason whatsoever to understand why she's such catnip to well... everyone. Much like that other famous St. Louis detective, it's as if her mere existence gives her magical karma that enchants everyone she encounters.
Zoey is just as self-centered and selfish as she was in the very first book. What is happening to her never effects her because someone else always pays for it. This bugs me. And I'm finding it more and more difficult to understand what the most powerful vampire in a thousand years and a Prince of Fae who shares his body with a god, see in her. Because I don't like her and I'm not even subject to her whims.
As of this review the fifth book is out. I will finish what has been written but I doubt I'll go back to them unless something significant happens in that book to focus on why these people remain in this relationship and to evolve their characters a bit. I want to see the things that happen to them change them. The life altering event in this book whose balm should have been held out for at least the next book, could have had a very interesting impact on the characters and their relationship, but it was cleared up and swept away almost as soon as it happened. Opportunity wasted. I so wanted to see how Dev reacted and what it meant to him. What a brilliant opportunity to add some depth to a somewhat superficial personality.
I realize this is genre writing but I have to ask If there is nothing new to bring to the table why write it? I had high hopes when I started with this. The writing was good and the story was interesting. Give Zoey flaws by all means but don't make them stereotypical "female" flaws like being a back seat driver or a weakness for shoes or stubborn irrational stupidity that nearly gets the men around her killed, unless this is supposed to be Jersey Shore meets Anita Blake. In that case, as of book 4, you've got it knicked.
